Saving your file
After rendering, select Download via ChatGPT. ChatGPT asks you to confirm “Open link”, then opens the file in a new browser tab. Save it from there: ⌘S or Ctrl+S, or right-click (on a phone, press and hold) and choose Save. ChatGPT keeps a copy of the rendered file, never your original.
What works where
| Feature | Inside ChatGPT |
|---|---|
| Images (PNG, JPEG, WebP), animated GIFs, short MP4 videos | Yes. Up to 4096 px and 40 MB for images; video up to 60 s and 1080p |
| PNG and looping GIF export | Yes |
| MP4 export | No. ChatGPT does not accept video files from apps |
| WebM and MOV video | Depends on your browser; MP4 (H.264) is the most reliable |
| Devices | Tested in ChatGPT on the web (Chrome on macOS) and in the ChatGPT phone app. Tablets have not been tested. On small screens the editor switches to a one-column layout with tabs. |
Common problems
- Nothing happens after Download: look for ChatGPT’s “Open link” prompt, and allow pop-ups for chatgpt.com.
- A GIF from a still image is refused: GIFs need an effect that moves over time (for example Hue shift with Cycle). Otherwise export a PNG.
- “This browser is not playing this video here”: try an MP4 (H.264) file or another browser.
- The editor looks out of date: start a new chat; ChatGPT can keep an earlier version for a short time.
To remove KINOE Mini, disconnect it in ChatGPT’s settings under apps.
